Intergalactic Bath bomb

Recently I was recommended intergalactic bath bomb from lush. After a crappy day I made a trip into lush and finally purchased the big blue and pink glittery bath bomb. I have always been a bubble bar kind of girl as I thought £4.25 a bath is a little bit of a waste. But let me say this bath bomb not only left me smelling and feeling great, but also made my bath look like an amazing intergalactic sky.

This created a pink, blue and yellow foamy bath. It made my skin feel super soft and fresh due to the peppermint scent. This bath was very aesthetically pleasing creating a dark blue bath filled with glitter.  I adored the glitter but found it left my body covered in golden glitter for hours. I would deffo recommend this but for me I prefer a more scented bath as it helps to make me feel a bit more relaxed and sleepy.

This super hydrating bath bomb creates a refreshing and unique bathing experience and will definitely be one I purchase again.

Aprils favourites

I love reading blog posts or watching youtube videos on reviews of products that people love. Personally I think what better to know someone's honest love for something than a monthly favourites post. This shows someone has used and loved the product. so, ironically , I will be showing you my obsessions for April.

First I will be showing my love for Soap and Glorys sugar crush body scrub. If you haven't smelled this go and do it. ASAP. This is a smashed brown sugar and sweet lime smell.  So, its citrusy but also sweet. This makes it perfect for mornings keeping your body smooth and sweet allllll day. I've never really joined the hype over soap and glory but now I've purchased this I will be buying more from the collection. Plus the price... so bloody affordable.  I was watching one of Zoellas old videos and she raved about this and I was just in boots so just to waste a bit of time before work looked at soap and glory and I was sooo impressed. This shower scrub is a favourite of mine and I'm actually excited for payday to buy more.

On the theme of showering my mum introduced me recently to The body shop. I bought so much like loads. But that's a future blog post. hint hint. Mum recommended the body washes. I love rose or fruity smells for washing. I tend to lean towards fruity smells for the morning as rose makes me tired.  I purchased the largest bottle of satsuma shower gel in the sale for just £10. I have used it for almost a whole month and I barely used any. I smell like satsuma for hours.

I have the biggest Obsession with skin care and trying to make my skin look as glowy and hydrated as possible. Hearing rave reviews about Pixi skin care made me want to try it so bad. I actually found pixi in Marks and Spencers which had their pixi skin care specialist in for the day and she recommended so much for me to try and how to use all the products. I legit left with a list with specific instructions. On the day I bought two things from Pixi and have used them and bloody loved them since. First of all I have been loving Pixi glow tonic. This has helped hydrate my skin and ensure all my red patches are reduced. I would recommend for someone with normal to dry skin with minimal spots but in need of colour correcting.  I can honestly say you need this in your life.
The 2nd thing I got is my favourite thing everrrrrrrrr and will be yours if you want glowy af skin. I have dryishskin so was recommended this to mix 2 drops into my liz earl moisturiser and I've never looked back. Plus I love the smell of rose. Its the rose oil drops. This legit no joke keeps my skin hydrated until the next morning. Ive only used two Pixi products and I cannot wait to buy more.

My April fav tan is Bondi sands but surprise to most people its dark not ultra dark. Recently, I've been loving a subtle bronzed look. I never understood why people spent more money on fake tan.  But after using this tan it makes me see a tan can actually last 2 weeks without needing to be srubbed off.  I love this tan the coconutty smell. plus I wont stink of fake tan.

If you haven't heard of Mario badescu and how amazing their skincare is then where have you been.  I buy quite a bit of that brand from beauty bay. When I get a red under the
skin spots or a painful I put the drying lotion from Mario on and i'll wake up the next day and its gone. Honestly this is magic. I put a thin brush into the pink sediment and just place it directly onto the spot.

This next one isn't a new product but more of a rediscovery for me. That's the Morphe 350 palette. I am so like overwhelmed for the quality and how much you get for the price. 35 colours for £20 is insane.  But the colours and the pigment of these are so worth it as are any Morphe palette.  But the colours of this palette... jesuuss Christ. Warm tones, cool tones and shimmers of brown, orange and soft nude. Just everything about this palette is amaze.

Lastly, I am gunna talk about a recent discovery. I've seen this on so many drugstore favourites as a dupe for Benefits porefessional so gave it a go. This was Maybelline baby skin primer instant pore eraser. I only have a couple of small pores but for me tis works heavenly. I actually think I prefer it to porefessional  as its more gentle but more glowy.
I will be trying from now on to do a monthly favourites each month from now on.

lots of love

Hand food

I livvvvvvvvve for hand cream. Literally. I've been on the hunt for a hydrating, not too greasy and smells amazing handcream for a while. I did find one which was Jo Malone but £60 a tub was a problem. I needed to find an affordable one as I go through hand cream like there is no tomorrow.

My current obsession is Soap and Glorys Hand Food. The rose and bergamot fragranced hand cream is a lightweight hand cream designed to keep hands smooth and smelling fab for hours. This is my go to , drugstore hand cream. I have used it for years but recently feel its becoming an every day necessity.

First of all the smell of rose with a hint of marshmallow is so soo lovely. When I wear it I always find people complimenting how nice I smell and how soft my hands are. Weird I know , but its the little things I guess.

Working in retail means I tend to get dry hands so I love applying this on my breaks or when I finish and my hands feel so repaired and strangely tighter.  Also did you know the more you moisturise your hands the longer you acrylic nails will last as your natural nails are getting more minerals. Sooo bonus.

A little goes a long way. I make a tube last a good 2-3 months and that's me. I use it about 4-6 times a day. I use a pee size amount and it leaves me feeling moisturised for hours.

I have a large tube I like to keep in my bedroom, I keep this next to my bed on my desk so when I get into bed and ive moisturised my body I can moisturise my hands. I also have a mini one I keep in my handbag and at £2.50 for 50ml or £5.00 for 125ml you cant really argue.

Just a quick post tonight over a latest obsession but I am currently working on a longer post too.

What's in my handbag makeup bag

I like to keep a little makeup bag in my handbag with all my essentials in. I feel always having things in your Handbag in a makeup bag helps prepare you for any eventuality but also, helps to keep you and your handbag organised.  I took out my girly essentials such as a couple of tampons and medicine in case of emergencies which are a must in any girls bag.  My makeup bag is one of my favourite colour schemes ever, pink and glittery. I bought this from Newlook ( where I work) on the first day it came into store. They did have it in baby blue and a purple but as its me I went for my favourite colour, Baby pink.  Makeup bags are designed to withhold a certain amount of beauty products and I could never find one which wasn't either too big or too small. So, I guess you could imagine my happiness when I found this one. Sad I know but was such a challenge for me. I will try to Link the exact makeup bag below but I did get it a while ago so if not will link one similar.

1)  If you know me and follow either one of my Instagram accounts or you have had the privilege to be dragged round Exeter with me ( hint hint Tommy) then you will know of my undying love for Jo Malone.  Each time I've gone to Exeter, which is my local Jo Malone. I have spent at least an hour talking to a consultant , browsing the shelves or getting facials or hand massages there. I adore the natural and floral scents they have to offer as for me I feel its similar scents to my other favourite brand Liz earl.  The prices for Jo Malone are in my opinion reasonable for the product you get.  The products I keep in my handbag from Jo Malone are a travel sized Grapefruit body crème and a travel sized Peony and blush cologne. I will start off with my body crème. First of all the same is absolutely INCREDIBLE its my favourite scent of anything I've ever come across.... ever. I actually have an obsession with feeling clean. Like I constantly have to use hand sanitizer after touching something foreign to me and then will always use this body crème to moisturise them after. I feel taking care of your hands is so important and using this hand crème allows me to feel pampered when wearing it. Alongside my body crème I like to keep one of my favourite scents from their collection which is Peony& blush. This scent is super light and floral but will last allllllll day. Whenever I've worn it I've gotten a compliment on how I smell and it makes me feel good about myself when I do. I have this in full 100ml size as well as travel size for my bag. By having the travel sized one it gave me a massive insight to whether I truly wanted to commit to the large perfume without breaking the bank first. Overall these two products are my nearest and dearest from Jo Malone and something I will have to keep in my bag now for life.

2)  I love feeling fresh and hydrated and I feel Liz Earl Moisturiser helps me keep hydrated as well on my hands. I like keeping this one in my makeup bag for when I go to work. If you work in retail or ever have then you know the pain of always having a coat hanger in your hands leaving a silver remain from where you've carried so much. SO, whenever I have a break in work I will always wash and clean my hands and then use this just to help give me a floral, lightweight freshen up. I adore the travel size one and is a lot cheaper than my Jo Malone one.

3)  Am I the only person who feels naked if I don't have mascara on ?  Usually I tend to wear individual lashes but an unfortunate nights sleep happened about 3 weeks ago. I pulled half my lashes out in my sleep. How you ask ? I have no bloody idea  but honestly I'm so annoyed and thought it was best to avoid individuals so my natural lashes (which are now half the length they were) can finally grow again. I read if you get a thin and really separating mascara it helps the growth so I went back to my trusted roller lash by benefit. Again I have a travel sized one that I keep and I LOVE it. I don't know why but I always find with this mascara that the travel sized one is so much better. Whenever I'm out and feel I need to make myself look fresher makeup wise I'll always reapply mascara and i'll instantly look and feel more awake.

4)  I feel everyone has a go to lip balm they keep in there bag. For me that's Burts bees peppermint lipbalm. It gives a tingling sensation and will keep my lips superrr hydrated for hours. I have one in my makeup bag , one in my car ,one in my locker at work and one in my bathroom. So... I am a big fan. I always like keeping this in m handbag as I wear a lot of liquid lipsticks that are matifying and if I put this on first or when I reapply it will make the lipstick more sheer. I love this affect as if doesn't highlight any dry skin and helps blend to create a smooth surface.

5)  Lastly how could any girl forget a Tangle teezer and hair accessories. I love tangle teezers as I have ringety hair so it gets very knotty. I love having one of these in my bag to help whenever I get a few knots in my hair but also the facts its a great size to transport. Also I love the ergonomic fit to your hand which makes it super comfortable to use. For hair bands I like to use the anti kink ones from primark. I don't find they work too well as like I said my hair is super curly but I defiantly notice a difference. Plus primark offer a great range of colours and the price is always so reasonable.

Below I will link all of the above. This has deffo made me realise I'm possibly addicted to travel sized products. Lol opps.

lots of love

Holy grail makeup products

A question a lot of people message me are what are my 'holy grail' makeup products. In other words, what makeup will you repurchase and love forever and ever. So today I thought I would share with you all my favourites I've collected throughout the years and what I think of them. In some cases I have even added more than one option.

1)  What better way than to start off with prepping the skin. For me washing a face is a must and moisturising. I have done a blog post on my Liz earl skincare routine which is the holy grail skincare routine I have used solidly for the past 6 months. So, for me that's what I start off any and every makeup look off with. Once I've let my skin dry I use my primer. This for me has to be hydrating as I have dry skin and use a mattifying foundation. I use Too faced Hangover primer. This is basically Jesus in a primer. It targets tired and puffy skin , helps blur out blemishes such as red patches from spots , creates a nice hydrating layer for your foundation to stay on all day and it creates a sheer glitter to make your skin look flawless and glowy. The thing I always say is to spend money on skincare and primers. These are the two main factors in a makeup routine. This is because skincare helps build the perfect clear canvas and primer ensures the skin is fully prepped and the makeup lasts. Hangover primer is meant to awaken the skin for instance after a night out and your skin is dry and gross , it helps brighten and moisturise and sooth skin back to its best natural appearance. I completely agree with all it says it does as I've used everyday including after nights out. I sometimes just use the primer to add a sheer glow to the skin. Overall I feel if you use this with a mattifying primer its a win win.

2)  Once the skin is prepped I actually use urban decay setting spray just to lock in my primer a little further. This for me really helps as it adds extra moisture to my primer and prevents any cakey patches. I would really recommend doing this step if you have dry skin. I Also use this to set my makeup. This for me is hands down the bestest setting spray and something I could never EVER live without. I have tried so many setting sprays such as : Nyx dewy and the matt, Makeup revolution and mac fix plus. None of which come near my beloved Urban decay All nighter setting spray. This for me helps balance out all powders on my face and makes it look blended together. I feel this changes the appearance of any makeup look to a more natural, skin like finish.

3)  Finding a perfect foundation is one of the most difficult things for me. I have super sensitive normal to dry skin, I don't really get too many spots just one here and there. So, for me I wanted something medium coverage that would give my skin an air brushed look. Finding something though that didn't break me out nor stick to my dry patches was a challenge. I loved dearly my Nars sheer glow however the colour range just didn't have one that matched me. I also found it was quite greasy and even with powder would move around my face and by the end of the day I looked cakey and oily. Then one day I was on way to a swim competition and stopped to get some lunch as Clarks village and they had a Mac outlet. I was so excited by all the inexpensive makeup I though why not try out  foundation my friend had recommended me. Usually at £23;50 I managed to get this foundation for £14.00. I picked up the shade that matched my tan NC35. After a week of using this foundation paired with too faced hangover primer i finally found my holy grail foundation. The foundation i bought was Mac studio fix fluid. I eventually bought this in NC25 for when I'm not tanned. This foundation, even though is matt, is very hydrating and even coverage, it covers any red patches , doesn't cling to dry patches and lasts all day with or without powder. With this i use a damp beauty blender to apply it as it really helps with adding hydration and even coverage.

4)  Once foundation is done i will use my concealer to spot correct if i have any larger spots. For this i use Boiing by benefit in medium honey. After 4-5 years of using this this i can say I've never found a concealer that works in the way it does. Its peachy tones counteract any red or purple tones. Its creamy full coverage formula means it blends out easy and covers anything.  On the topic of concealer i also use one for highlight, i put it on my nose , forehead , chin , cupids bow and under my eyes. I have used many concealers to find one that doesn't wrinkle nor go to sheer. So i tried the craze concealer of urban decay and thought it was sooooo overrated. It was so sheer and the applicator meant each time i pulled it out it would splutter liquid. I also tried LA girl and found they were sticky and didn't blend out well. I was then watching Hannah Renee talk about the Collection 2000 concealer. The same day I've purchased it and have never found anything as good since. Its medium coverage means it doesn't go cakey which is so important for my dry skin. Its colour range is good and has good under the eye concealers as well as highlight for your face.  I also like using this concealer for eye primer along side my urban decay primer as the combination is a hydrating long lasting base. All three of these id class as my holy grails. something i wish to try is a mac soft Ocre Paint pot. Has anyone used one ? If so feel free to pop me a message or leave a comment letting me know.

5)  For bronzer i have two favourites which are a limited edition Mirah Carey Mac bronzer which Mac global glow and Chanel tan de solei. I use both of these together almost every day. I'll start off with Chanels bronzer as that's the one i use first.  If you haven't got this bronzer then you need to buy it. The consistency is a dream. I was fortunate enough to get this for Christmas from my boyfriend ( as a completely prompted gift idea ). I love everything about this bronzer from it consistency to its easy application. Basically, this product is a dream. I apply this with a small real techniques stippling brush from real techniques. I find this brush isn't too thick that when I apply the product their isn't too much making it impossible to blend out. I feel Chanel hit the nail on the head however, the main drawback is there is only one, yes one, bloody colour. Anyone that knows me knows I live in fake tan and so this colour only suits me when I have no one , which I must say is a very rare occasion. So if you have a spare £40 deffo buy as the pot will last you years. Once I've applied this I always dust my cheeks with my mac bronzer to give it a sun kissed, bronzy look. I can honestly say this product gives me life. Like if I died I want my ashes to be this mac Mirah Carey bronzer. This bronzer is very light with iridescent flakes of gold in. It makes every makeup look, look complete. Literally without this I feel naked. Global glow is a near on copy of this except its less glittery.  I have never found a bronzer that makes me feel so dewy and summery 24/7 quite like this.

6)  In the photo above you see my mac bronzer next to my favourite highlight by Mac again. I use soft and gentle. This creates a sparkly, white highlight to create a natural looking finish. I love a natural looking highlight almost like a dewy glow. I do love skin finish but I feel too much highlight just doesn't suit me. What impresses me with this is that throughout the day it doesn't fade like my highlight shall always remain. Which is what I lovvvvvvve. No joke each time I've worn this I've had compliments on my highlight. So soft and gentle Is a 10/10 for me.

7)  I don't think I've ever had a day in my life that I haven't worn my Kat Von D shade and light since I've bought it which is a very good indication that I love it. I love it as it helps create a neutral Smokey eye with just two colours or, will have the perfect shade colours for when I use glittery lids to finish it off. If you wear eyeshadow and love a neutral ,smokey eye then buy this. In fact, I'm
surprised you don't have it already. The consistency and pigment of these are insane. They are creamy and apply so much colour which makes blending out a pure dream. I urge you to buy this. I even use this to set my eyes with the white shade and it doesn't crease nor flashback.

If anyone has any products they swear by feel free to le me know.

lots of love
